An open kimono rendered flat, its silhouette framing a black wave that surges across the fabric. Blue fish scatter through green spray, a motif drawn from the naturalist vocabulary of Watanabe Seitei (1851–1918), transposed here onto the garment itself. The wave swallows half the robe; the fish move freely between cloth and obsidian water.
